HTC is a Chinese manufacturer of Smart-phones based in Taiwan and holds the distinction of being the first cell phone device manufacturer to use the Android as its main operating system. Now HTC also includes Windows Operating System. HTC was also the first Mobile Device manufacturer to create a phone supporting the newest 4G network technologies offering the fastest download speeds to its users.
According to the technology analysis Company Canalys in the third quarter of 2011 HTC had sold more cellular phone devices in the USA as compared with any of its rivals having a USA market share of 24%, Samsung holding up at 21 % while leaving Apple iPhones at 20%. The HTC EVO continues at this writing to be the best-selling HTC cell phone.
